Contrary to the popular imaginary, Salt Lake City isn't filled with staid Aryan Mormons, as this Irish pub on the edge of the Great Salt Lake proves. At Murphy's, the Guinness is constantly flowing and the fish and chips are frying. Like so many other restaurants with similar claims, Murphy's labels their fish and chips "world-famous." And while Salt Lake City is perhaps an unlikely place, the flash fried cod and lightly salted fries deserve the title. The Irish brews, as usual, speak for themselves in a brogue.
