About DJ Scooter, MISS DJ LUX
Scooter started DJing because of his love and passion for music. That passion soon turned into a full-time career. Scooter’s signature vibrant style is a genre-bending, mind-blowing mix that always is fresh and exciting. Unlike other DJs who jump on house or hip hop as they come in and out of popularity, Scooter has mastered both hip hop and house and has been producing house music for over fifteen years. He is one of the few DJs who can spin for a hip hop crowd and the next night play for an electronic crowd, rockin’ both parties easily and with amazing prowess.
His unparalleled talent and technical skills on the turntables has allowed him to perform in nearly every state in the United States. Scooter has not only established himself as a renowned DJ nationwide, but internationally as well. He has traveled and performed in the Dominican Republic, China, Korea, France, Mexico, Canada, Argentina, and Guatemala, just to name a few.
Other DJs may play music, but what sets Scooter apart is his innate ability to read and rock any crowd. “If the people aren’t happy and loving the music, I’m not doing my job,” claims Scooter. Regardless of the venue or event, he always chooses the music that will not only rock the crowd at hand, but leave them with an unforgettable party experience.
He has an infectious enthusiasm when he is rockin’ the decks. In the midst of a jam, he can be seen jumping up and down, pumping his fists, and yelling on the mic for everyone to throw their hands in the air! In a nutshell, Scooter’s performances are full of non-stop energy.
One half of the dynamic duo, Scooter and Lavelle, Scooter’s hip hop loops and turntable skills are combined with Lavelle’s banging progressive mixes to bring audiences an explosive performance. Scooter has also established himself as an accomplished producer, scoring a Top Ten hit on XM Radio with Scooter and Lavelle’s “Beats Inside My Head.” He has also been retained to create music for WWF and Bravo TV.
A phenomenal DJ as well as an accomplished producer, DJ Scooter does it all. He continues to provide the best in night life entertainment around the globe!
DJ Lux creates unrivaled energy when she is behind the turntables. Her unique ability to span all genres of music connects with every person in the room. Whether she is playing your favorite EDM track, an old school hip-hop jam you haven’t heard for years, or a rock classic you didn’t remember you loved so much, it is almost certain you will leave wanting to hear more. Her ten years behind the decks have delivered many unique opportunities that have given her continued success. DJ Lux has been invited to spin with many top-name DJs in both the dance music and hip-hop genres. The list of these national DJs and artists includes: Ferry Corsten, Kaskade, Starkillers, Lil Jon, Cee-Lo and Skylar Grey.
Music has always been DJ Lux’s first love. It is that love that drove her to buy her first set of turntables and a mixer to take her passion for music to the next level. The talent she developed landed her a resident DJ slot for the top nightclub in Park City, Utah, Harry O’s, also known as the hub for the Sundance Film Festival.
Miss DJ Lux then relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida where she immediately got gigs playing the hottest clubs. It was at one of those clubs where a Tampa Bay Rays Executive noticed her. In 2007 she was asked to become the Rays’ official in-game DJ. Inspired by the success the Miami Heat enjoyed with the use of an in-game DJ, the Rays became the first team in Major League Baseball to use a DJ during their home games, modernizing how baseball is viewed in Florida. Miss DJ Lux fit the bill perfectly, allowing the Rays to usher in the era of a DJ to enhance their Friday and Saturday night games. During the 2007 season and then during the huge success the Rays had in their 2008 Championship season, DJ Lux threw down mixes for crowds of up to 35,000 fans.
In 2009, Miss DJ Lux made Park City, Utah her home again and can be found spinning as a resident at Downstairs. Owned by actor Danny Masterson, Downstairs is known for its upscale, intimate setting and its rotation of high-caliber, national DJs. During Sundance 2014, Miss DJ Lux opened the festival spinning the tracks for Skylar Grey’s performance during Lil Jon’s birthday celebration at Downstairs. Jon then spun a set of his own, asking Miss DJ Lux to close it down so he could enjoy his birthday. Her closing set drew praise from Jon and his management.
Whether she is DJing the hottest Sundance party or playing for thousands of screaming fans, she is certain to be behind the decks bouncing around, inspiring everyone to join her and dance.
