Rumor Has It is an American based pop-punk band hailing from West Covina, CA. The quintet began attracting local attention after the release of their debut self-titled record in 2011. The group began making waves up and down the west coast as they shared stages with a number of national acts including Circa Survive, Escape The Fate and Story Of The Year. Just as the group began to gain traction, disaster struck. Vocalist Adam Garcia and bassist Steven Valadez were brutally attacked by a group of skinheads in front of their home. Steven and Adam both suffered critical stab wounds. Steven's were unfortunately fatal. The band took a hiatus during Adam's recovery to recollect and mourn the loss of their fallen brother. In 2013, the band regrouped and began preparing material for their much awaited return. Songs filled with a new sense of authenticity and angst poured out of them. RHI spent a rigorous 3 months in the studio crafting their new EP "We're On Our Way," with Los Angeles based producers Will McCoy and Matt Faulkner. "We paid attention to every detail. This album was a tribute to Steven, so we had to make sure it was perfect." says Charlie. In the coming months, RHI will be hitting the road in support of the new material. "Were only getting started" says Adam. The group consists of singer Adam Garcia, Charlie Carrillo (guitar), Andrew Reyes (guitar) and Aaron Garcia (bass). Stay tuned.
