About The Knightbeats & Jeff Dillon

The KnightBeats are an Experimental/Reggae/Rock band from Colorado known for their unique, catchy sound and energetic live performances. They have shared the stage with bands such as The Dirty Heads, Passafire, The Supervillains, Tomorrows Bad Seeds, Rome (Sublime,) The English Beat, The Toasters, Nathen Maxwell (Flogging Molly,) 40 oz To Freedom, Authority Zero, Ballyhoo, B Foundation, Josh Fischel, Mystic Roots, Audio Spaghetti, Simpkin Project, and Mishka.

Jeff Dillon won’t sit down and he won’t shut up. For 18 years he’s been distilling his punk passion in a mash of folk-flavored rock and roll, for a sound that evokes the love child of Frank Turner and Johnny Cash. His new EP, “Different Cities, Different Stories,” is the oak-barrel aged soundtrack for a rail-hopping, whiskey drinking hobo with big dreams and a heart on fire.

He has been fronting bands in every genre since he was 17 years old. As a solo artist, he brings his unique blend of charisma, yearning, and unadulterated love for the music that’s influenced him to a whole new level, holding his own on stage at festivals, on tour, and with national touring acts including Allison Weiss, California X, Cold Fronts, and River City Extension.

In September of 2015, Jeff hit the road for his first tour. He shared the road with Riverside, California based band, The b Sharps. Along the two week tour, they made some great stops, and played with a lot of amazing bands, like The Maxies, Japan’s The Hum Hums, The Girls, Burque Sol, and The Riddims.

He counts Chuck Ragan, Johnny Cash, Frank Turner, and The White Buffalo among his major influences, and has been compared to Frank Turner, Tom Petty, Woodie Guthrie, and The Civil Wars.

Jeff is now back home working on the first full length Jeff Dillon and The Revival album.
